There are many ways to support K-12 Refugee Education Services and LSS-SW.
Help us get the word out within the refugee and immigrant communities. Share this blog. Share paper copies of the calendar with students and families. Help people find our location downtown (provide a ride or help them read the bus map and schedule). Talk about the advantages of connecting with this community center and other local programs in our schools and throughout Tucson.
Donate school supplies, bottled water, non-perishable snack foods, fresh fruit, math study materials, ESL textbooks, art supplies, or other materials to support and enhance our after-school programs. You can bring things directly to 55 N. 6th Ave., Suite #101 during our program hours.
Make a cash donation to support in a variety of ways such as buying bus passes to distribute to students, paying for sports and other extracurricular fees to help young newcomers get involved in their school communities, buying snacks and supplies for young scholars visiting our location downtown, and more.
- Checks should be made out to Lutheran Social Services with “K-12 Refugee Education Services” indicated clearly on the for line and can be hand-delivered or sent to K-12 Refugee Education Services, LSS-SW, 55 N. 6th Ave., Suite #101 / Tucson, AZ 85701.
- Credit card donations can be made online at http://www.lss-sw.org/donate/ via paypal. Please add a note at the bottom indicating funds are for K-12 Refugee Education Services.
- Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest qualifies as an eligible organization to whom contributions may be made and the donor receives a direct credit (not a deduction) to their Arizona State Income tax at the time they file their taxes. You can make a gift up to $400 as an individual or $800 as a couple. Visit lss-sw.org/tax-credit for more information and consult a qualified tax advisor.
